Where Science, Art, and Care Meet

Mother, poet, artist, photographer, geologist/biologist and aspiring early childhood educator based in Oxford, Ohio.

From Geology to Early Learning

After studying geology and biology at Miami University, I discovered that my fascination with earth processes translated naturally to working with children. Both require observation, patience, and respect for growth that happens in its own time. Since 2021, I've shared geology with families through interactive discovery sessions, watching children's faces light up over fossils and geodes.

In 2024, I transitioned to primary caregiving upon welcoming my beautiful daughter and early learning facilitation, where I found my deepest calling. Through daily rhythms with young children through sensory play, nature walks, emotional moments I've developed understanding of early childhood development and the beautiful uniqueness of each child's path.

Creative Practice

As a professional photographer, I document authentic moments and natural beauty. As a poet, I explore themes that I hold deer to my heart from my personal lived experience.

My Philosophy

Inspired by Montessori and Reggio Emilia, I believe:

  • Children learn through sensory-rich, hands-on experiences

  • Nature is the most powerful classroom

  • Each developmental journey deserves respect and patience

  • Wonder is the foundation of all learning

  • Small moments contain profound teaching

I bring scientific thinking, artistic sensitivity, and genuine care to everything I do.
